Leeds - RAC International Historic Rally 1996

NEW ROUTE FOR INTERNATIONAL HISTORIC RALLY

Following the change of format for the Network Q RAC Rally, this year's Leeds RAC International Historic Rally will now follow the same route as the modern world championship event on both Saturday and Sunday 23rd/24th November.

The event, which is once again based in the City of Leeds, will start at Croft and will then pick up the best of the modern rally route running through the north of England before returning to Leeds for the overnight halt.

On Sunday the historic cars will leave early in the morning and precede the Network Q RAC Rally though some of its traditional Sunday spectator stages - Clumber Park (08.00), Donington (10.00) and the Leeds stage at Temple Newsam (12.15) before returning to the finish on The Headrow in Leeds. Competitors will have the opportunity to tackle almost 100 stage miles during the course of the weekend.

The Leeds RAC International Historic Rally is Britain's round of the FIA European Historic Rally Trophy and is open to cars registered before the end of December 1971 which comply with Appendix K of the FIA Year Book.
