The BTRDA Rally Series Regulations/Entry Forms are due back from the printers about 14th Jan. In the interim here is an outline of the 1999 championships. Please note the reference to the first round of the BTRDA, the Wyedean Rally. Regs are now available so you need to hold of a set ASAP if you want to enter this event. Best 6 scores to count.
Excellent geographical and date spread.
Most popular British rally championship in 1998 with 350 registered competitors.
Registration £25 drivers & £20 co-drivers.

CLASSES

Peugeot Sport Gold Star Championship open to all Formula 2 vehicles. Includes 6 classes for either Group N or A vehicles up to 1400cc, up to 1600cc and up to 2000cc.
Kit cars are welcome and eligible to score points in the overall championship but not in the classes.

Clear System Solutions Silver Star Championship open to all other vehicles. Classes at 1400cc, 1600cc, 2000cc and over 2000cc and the valuable 'Two Wheel Drive Challenge Cup'.
New for 1999 is a class for N4 vehicles.

AWARDS

Major Championship trophies and cash for 1st [£500], 2nd [£250] & 3rd [£150] in the Gold Star Championship, the Silver Star Championship and the 2 Wheel Drive Challenge.
There are also awards for 1st, 2nd & 3rd driver & co-driver in each of the 11 classes.
The BTRDA Rally Series trophies and goblets are open to all Gold Star and Silver Star competitors.
These include best Under 21 driver [£500] best Under 25 driver [£500] and best under 25 co-driver.
Lady driver and co-driver trophies and Seniors drivers and co-driver trophies for the more mature competitor [45yrs+].

Other championship support and bonus schemes from Peugeot, Clear Systems, Dunlop, Mintex and Silkolene plus Motoring News coverage of events/championships.

Total value of Prize Fund and bonuses exceeds £25,000.

When you register for the 1999 BTRDA Rally Series you will get all the event regulations and all the championship bulletins sent to you automatically. However the Wyedean Forest Rally regs are now out so please ring the Entries Secretary, Nina Biddle on 01594 836683, say you are doing the BTRDA Rally Series, and she will send you a set. Please note that BTRDA events are very popular so always send your entries in ASAP to ensure you get a run.
