BTRDA Rally Series Contacts
The 1999 BTRDA Rally series was only decided on the last event, we congratulate Brian Bell in securing the Clear System Solutions Silver Star Championship and Nik Elsmore in winning the Peugeot Sport Gold Star Championship.
It is satisfying to note that the 10 events proved most popular with the 361 registered competitors, the largest number for many years giving credence to the claim that the BTRDA Rally Series is the most successful in the UK. For 2000 competition has been further enhanced with the introduction of the Dunlop Two Wheel Drive Challenge Cup and the new Clear System Solutions Team Challenge.
The BTRDA continue to rely on generous funding from Peugeot Sport and Clear System Solutions, and acknowledging the bonus schemes offered by various trade suppliers and Initiative 2000, the series prize fund and bonuses now exceed £30,000 in value.
The Rallies Committee Members wish all competitors safe and successful Millennium motoring in the 2000 season.
One thing has not changed for the Millennium and that is Peugeot Sport's continued support for the BTRDA Gold Star Championship. In 1999 the BTRDA gave the clubmen their best value for money rallying on some of the top events in the country, and with their proven format and with some exciting innovations, I know that 2000 will be even better.
We are delighted yet again to be associated with the Gold Star and for those of you rallying Peugeot 106 and 306 models we will continue to operate our £500 per round bonus scheme, plus the end of year prizes.
With the large number of entries in BTRDA the competition in all the classes is the fiercest of all the national rally series and so gives you the opportunity to enjoy the championship as a stepping stone to greater things or just to have great fun.
I'd like to take this opportunity to wish you all a successful and enjoyable season.
We at Clear System Solutions, Information Technology Specialists, have decided to increase our branding exposure by introducing the new Clear System Solutions Team Challenge, open to all BTRDA competitors, with a dedicated prize fund of £2000.
The Silver Star Championship continues to strengthen each year with increased registered competitors and now comprises the largest number of drivers within the BTRDA series. The format of allowing the fastest and most competitive cars to demonstrate their skills on the day, at an affordable cost, in an open category with old, current and evolving rally car technology, is proving to be what competitors desire.
We share the marketing excellence aim of promoting the Clear System Solutions Silver Star Championship in rally sport with our own growth, in becoming the leading IT company providing computerisation application development, consultancy and training.
