Congratulations to Michael Watson on taking his second maximum score in the Clear System Solutions Silver Star Championship on the North Humberside Forest Rally. His retirement on the Wyedean Forest Rally sees him currently down in fourth place in the overall table but he knows that, as the season moves on and dropped scores come into play, the work he has already done could well pay dividends. Pete Litler, endeavouring to become the first driver in modern times to win both Gold and Silver Star titles, still leads the category after three second-place scores and, with Ian Joel and Martin Healer also pitching in there, a good scrap is on the cards!
The Peugeot Sport Gold Star Championship, meanwhile, sees Charlie Exton at the helm. His Honda Integra holds a slender one-point lead over the Escort RS2000 of Rob Palmer but it was Martin Sansom who stole their thunder on the North Humberside. He became the third different driver in three events to take maximum points in his Peugeot 106 showed the others the way home.
