Regulations for the NORTH HUMBERSIDE FOREST RALLY, which is once again based in Whitby and takes place on Saturday 29th March, have been published and, with some minor alterations, the revised format which found favour with so many last year has been retained for 2008.
The organisers, North Humberside Motor Club Ltd, have put together a compact route containing six special stages on the North York Moors, totalling 43 miles, in a total of less than 150. The first car will leave the Captain Cook statue in Whitby at 9.00a.m. on the Saturday morning and return there for the finish celebrations just six hours later.
As a qualifying round of no less than ten different Championships, including the Silverstone Tyres BTRDA Gold & Silver Star series, places in the entry list are expected to be at a premium. Indeed, having uploaded the regulations on to the event website at teatime on 12th February, the organisers were in receipt of four applications that same evening!
